Al-Quran: The Symbol of Ummah Unity

MARANG, March 19 - Former MP Jamiat Islami, Pakistan asserted that aqidah, iman, and akhlak are the primary responsibilities of every Muslim in addition to attract people to the route to Allah and referring to the messages of the prophets.

He stressed that the Islamic unity of people with different languages and backgrounds are based on the holy book of al-Quran. He took the example of Maulana Dr 'Ata Ur Rahman and Salman al-Farisi who cannot speak Arabic but ALLAH selected them to go into the heaven, unlike Abu Jahl, who was very fluent in Arabic but will be casted into hell.

This means that the language and race of a person does not guarantee a person to enter the heaven. Furthermore, only aqidah that unites people from every corner of the world.

However, what happened was Islamic movements around the world had been oppressed greatly. According to him, "In Libya, about 4,000 members of the Al-Maududi movement led by Abul A'la Al-Mawdudi were prisoned for disseminating Islamic messages in Pakistan. They tried to enforce Islamic law in the administration," said the grandson of the Ash-Shahid Al-Maududi.

Therefore, he urged all Muslims to keep adhering to the al-Quran and as-Sunnah until the day of Judgement.
